Our hub has been designed especially for you, with a wide variety of hints and tips to help you keep your home and contents safe.
At Yorkshire Bank, we have a range of options for you to get your money from A to B. Many of the payment types come free as standard with your account. When dealing with larger sums of money or international payments, you might choose one of our paid-for options.
We’ve listed our three most popular payments and a comparison table to help you select the option which suits your needs best.
As a Yorkshire Bank customer you are able to receive and send Faster Payments into and from your account1. This allows quick telephone, mobile, internet and Standing Order payments between your account and other banks and building societies.
1 Payments will only be processed through the Faster Payments Service if both the bank / building society sending and receiving the payment are participants of the scheme.
2 This service may be temporarily unavailable during periods of routine maintenance.
For more information and to check whether the bank or building society you are sending money to can receive Faster Payments visit Faster Payments Website.
You can use your debit card anywhere you see the Mastercard® acceptance mark.
With Clearing House Automated Payment System (CHAPS) payments, you can send and receive Sterling payments on a guaranteed, same-day basis for requests made at a branch before 4pm. £25 fee applies for each payment.
You can make international1 payments with SWIFT from Yorkshire Bank. Fees apply.
1 Some exclusions apply, speak to your relationship manager for details.
SWIFT makes payments simple and convenient for you.
SWIFT transfers can be instructed at any branch.
Payments are given specific value dates ie same-day, next day or ‘spot value' which is typically 2 business days ahead.
Please note, for a same day payment you must visit branch before 10.30am.
We use Value Dates in International banking because currencies fluctuate in value every day, so your payment would be worth more or less bu the time it is received by the beneficiary. Using the Value Date eliminates these discrepancies so you know that the amount you send is the amount that will be received.

The single euro payments area (SEPA) harmonises the way cashless euro payments are made across the EU. It also applies to payments in euros in other EEA countries: Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Monaco and San Marino.
Payments are given next day value.
Please note, for a next day you must visit branch before 11am.
Our SEPA form can be found in Useful Forms. Please complete this electronically before coming into branch.
