With your Yorkshire Bank debit card, you can pay for a wide range of goods and services at millions of locations worldwide†. Use your card anywhere you see the Mastercard® acceptance mark.
You don't need to tell us when you are travelling abroad, we will monitor your account in the same way as if you were using your card in the UK.

Most Yorkshire Bank debit cards are contactless. If your debit Mastercard is contactless, you can pay for items up to £45 without having to enter your PIN. Just touch your card against the contactless card reader when you’re ready to pay. You’ll hear a beep and see a green light on the reader. You’ve paid.
You can deposit cash and cheques up to £2000 per day at any Branch deposit ATM using your debit Mastercard contactless card. The single transaction limit is £1000, 25 cheques or 50 notes.
If you exceed these limits the deposit ATM will advise you that you have exceeded the daily transaction or deposit limit.

Online shopping is straightforward with your debit card, and we provide you with a SecureCode™ to make security that bit more robust.
Many shops offer free ‘Purchase with CashBack’ so that you can include up to £100 CashBack^ each time you shop.

To give you more protection against fraud we have changed the way you verify payments online and via mobile banking.
We need to ensure it’s really you making the payment before the money leaves your account. How you do this depends on whether you’re using:
No, it’s not for every payment. Once saved the person or company you are paying will become ‘Trusted’. That means you may not need to do the identity check again, unless you change details like the sort code, account number, name or reference.
To make payments of more than £500, or totaling more than £1000 per day, you will now need to use the Mobile Banking App to verify your payments.. Business customers using a One-Time Passcode will no longer be able to make payments greater than £500 and will need to use the mobile app to verify payments.Continue to Internet Banking
