Time4Sleep charts new growth

One of the UK’s largest bedding retailers has established a brand-new warehouse through a deal with Yorkshire Bank, expanding the footprint of the growing business.

New scale and capabilities

Time4sleep Ltd (T4S) received a major lending package from the Bank which has enabled it to establish a 35,000 sq ft warehouse in Wolverhampton, tripling its stock holding capacity and improving the service offering for its growing customer base.

Headquartered in Milnsbridge, Huddersfield, the new Midlands location has been selected because of its close proximity to a key distribution partner for the business and will help to fill a gap in high quality warehousing in the local area.

The warehouse will allow T4S to offer next-day delivery for customers throughout the UK for the first time, while a new team of four has been recruited to run the operation, expanding the business’ headcount to 16 in total, while it will retain its Huddersfield office and showroom.

Alongside this, the business is investing in its systems to further improve its picking and ordering process, as well as overhauling its website, as part of its overall strategic growth ambitions.

T4S was founded in 2005 by husband and wife team, Jonathan and Victoria Warren, and sells a large range of products including mattresses and bedroom furniture. The business sells more than 95% of its goods online via its own website as well as through its Huddersfield showroom.

Speaking about the deal, Jonathan Warren, Director at T4S, said: “Our new warehouse is a fantastic opportunity to expand our company. With our online presence growing continuously, demand has been rising, putting pressure on us to adapt our business. Establishing a warehousing operation in the Midlands makes strategic sense and is a fundamental part of our growth strategy.

“The investment from Yorkshire Bank signals strong confidence in our prospects for growth and we’re thankful for the team’s support during the transaction.”
