Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks Announce Return of £150 Current Account Switching Offer

12 January 2016

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks today announced the return of their £150 current account switching offer.

Following the success of the initiative previously, customers who complete a full current account switch to Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) will benefit from the £150 offer.

It is available to new customers who hold a current account with another bank or building society as well as existing Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks customers who meet the qualifying criteria, and use the Current Account Switch Service, which is fully backed by the Current Account Switching Guarantee, to transfer in an account held elsewhere. Customers must also register and activate either internet banking or mobile banking within two months of the switch completing.

Applications can be received in branch or by phone and customers can also complete a full current account switch easily online in less than 15 minutes. Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks will arrange everything, from transferring direct debits and payments to advising the existing bank of the change.

Steve Fletcher, Director, Retail Banking at Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, said: “Our Current Account Switch Service offer was met with a very positive response in 2015 and we are confident the simple and hassle free service will be welcomed by those who are reviewing their finances at the start of this new year.”

Clydesdale Bank was rated as having the best switching service in the uSwitch.com survey in October 2015, which was voted by more than 10,000 current account customers.
