Yorkshire Bank has opened its new branch on 14 Vicar Lane in Chesterfield today.
The new branch is part of a £45 million investment programme by the Bank to upgrade facilities to meet changing customer needs. The programme includes a UK-wide programme of branch relocations and refits plus improved and new mobile and internet banking services.
Replacing the former branch at 89 New Square, the branch offers a much more open design than the one it replaces, featuring three counter positions, three private interview rooms and two open consultation areas.
All 15 employees from the former branch - which has now closed - have transferred to the new premises. As well as being open from 9:15am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, the new branch will also open on Saturdays from 9:15am to 1:15pm.
Alison Elliott, Branch Manager, said: “We are delighted to move to this new branch on Vicar Lane, which underlines our commitment to the town. The branch is staffed by familiar faces and while customers expect us to deliver flawless service, we also want them to have an enjoyable place to do their banking.”
Steve Fletcher, Director, Retail Banking, said: “While customers’ needs are changing and we are delivering new services to meet them, branches continue to be a really important part of how we ensure customers have a great banking experience with us. This is a fantastic new branch in Chesterfield and we’re looking forward to continuing to serve the local community from our modern new home.”
