Yorkshire Bank has opened its new branch on Oxford Street in Bolton.
The new branch is part of a £45 million investment programme by the Bank to upgrade facilities to meet changing customer needs. The programme includes a UK-wide programme of branch relocations and refits plus improved and new mobile and internet banking services.
Replacing the former branch at 37 Bradshawgate, the new branch is conveniently located in the heart of Bolton’s shopping streets, at 17 to 21 Oxford Street. The branch offers a much more open design than the one it replaces, featuring counter positions, private interview rooms, interview desks for less formal conversations, three ATMs, a self-service deposit facility and will now be open on Saturdays.
With its modern design, the branch showcases new technology to register customers for internet banking, assist with product discussions and gather customer feedback, as well as providing quick links to the Yorkshire Bank website. Free WIFI will also be available for customers.
All seven employees from the former branch - which has now closed - have transferred to the new premises, and are joined by two additional members of staff to cover the new extended branch opening hours. The Oxford Street branch is open from 9.15am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and from 9.15am to 1.15pm on Saturdays.
Customers will also have access to a range of Business and Private Banking facilities supported by five relationship managers offering new and existing customers a face-to-face banking experience that is complemented by a team of central specialists. The Business and Private Banking team provide a range of tailored and flexible finance solutions to help support the growth ambitions of businesses in and around the Bolton area.
Angela Bagley, Branch Manager, said: “We are delighted to move to this new branch on Oxford Street, it underlines our commitment to the town. The branch is staffed by familiar faces to ensure customers continue to get the great personal service they expect.”
Steve Fletcher, Head of Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank Retail Network, said: “While customers’ needs are changing and we are delivering new services to meet them, branches continue to be a really important part of how we serve our customers, particularly in a busy town like Bolton.
“This is a fantastic new branch on Oxford Street and we are delighted to be able to welcome customers into our new home. We’ll be able to offer customers the best of our Personal, Business and Private banking products and services under one modern roof in a really convenient location.”
