Yorkshire Bank has strengthened its support for growing businesses in Manchester and the North West, with the appointment of a new business development manager at its Business and Private Banking Centre in the city.
Mike Ricketts, a banker with more than 25 years experience in the sector, joins Yorkshire Bank from Santander. Mike has worked in the North West throughout his career, beginning in retail banking but moving in to commercial more than ten years ago.
The depth of knowledge Mike has developed during his career means he has a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing companies in the region. His new role will see him cover central and southern Manchester, and parts of Cheshire.
Mike said: “During my career I have always strived to be an important part of the local community and provide a service which customers can trust and rely on. I believe the value of local knowledge and understanding can’t be underestimated and I look forward to bringing that to my new role.”
Sean Williams, Head of Yorkshire Bank’s Manchester Business and Private Banking Centre, said: “Mike is a quality addition to our team who will deliver significant benefits to our customers and his appointment also underlines our commitment to supporting growing businesses in the region.
“As the economy shows signs of recovery it is important that the resources are available to help businesses in Manchester and the North West region make the most of growth opportunities. Having a strong local team in place will help us achieve that.”
