Yorkshire Bank opened its new branch on Scunthorpe High Street on Monday 1st September 2014.
The new branch is part of a £25 million investment programme by Yorkshire Bank to upgrade the existing branch network to meet changing customer needs. A further £20 million is being invested in improved services for customers including the expansion of mobile and internet banking as well as new products.
Replacing the current branch at 163 High Street, the new location at 124 High Street will provide customers with four counter positions, two interview rooms, two ATMs and a deposit self-service facility.
All 14 employees from the former branch - which has now closed - have transferred to the new premises. Jayn Towns-Smith, Branch Manager, said: “We are delighted to move to this new branch on Scunthorpe High Street which underlines our commitment to the area.
“The branch will be staffed by familiar faces to ensure customers continue to get the great personal service they expect.”
Steve Fletcher, Head of Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank Retail Network, said: “Yorkshire Bank is focused on meeting changing customer needs and we are committed to providing a balanced choice of banking channels to suit customer preferences.
“This is a fantastic new branch on the High Street and we are delighted to be able to welcome customers into our new home which offers the full range of traditional counter services as well as access to mortgage and banking specialists in modern surroundings.”
