Clydesdale Bank Supporting Further Acquisitions for CFH

13th December 2012

A forward-thinking printing and mailing company in Bath is aiming to continue its expansion across the UK with support from Clydesdale Bank.

CFH Total Document Management Ltd (CFH) at St Peter’s Park, Wells Road, Radstock, is building on its recent acquisition of Slough-based Print For Business, with plans to buy other mailing businesses thanks to on-going support from Clydesdale Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Bristol.

Clydesdale Bank has provided £2million of funding for acquisitions as the family-run business looks to build on its expected £31million turnover.

Dave Broadway, CFH managing director, said the 260-strong company was focused on extending its printing and mailing services as well as its environmentally-friendly Docmail Local Post delivery service.

Dave said: “Our intention is to buy transactional mailing companies in strategic areas of the country to roll out our full-post delivery services. We cover the south west, Scotland and the west of London and the next stage is to target the Midlands and the north.

“We are developing into a postal services company. Our aim is to provide savings on the delivery of documents through our PC-to-post solution Docmail, our online document delivery system Docpost and our own postal delivery-to-the-door service Docmail Local Post.

“Docmail Local Post delivers our customers’ mail in Bath and Bristol, and also picks up and delivers mail where it is staying within those cities. For example, for Specsavers in Bath we collect their letters and deliver them to addresses within Bath cheaper than Royal Mail. We also provide the service for charities, doctors and schools within those areas and can now roll out the same service in Slough.

“We moved to Clydesdale Bank just over a year ago and their support for our planned growth has been very good because without their backing, in support of our own cash reserves, we would not be in the position to proceed with our strategy.”

Antony Bryant, Corporate Director for Clydesdale Bank in the south west, said the Bank was pleased to provide £2million acquisition finance to CFH.

Antony said: “CFH is becoming a market leader in the south west for its specialist services in printing and post and we are proud to be a part of their expansion plans.

“Dave and his team are highly experienced in their sector and their reputation is increasing year-on-year.

“The Growing Business support package that Clydesdale Bank has recently launched is perfect for expanding businesses such as CFH as it provides business loans, overdrafts and improved switching offers.”
