Traditional banking approach brings haulage company to Clydesdale Bank

09/12/2011

Leading Norfolk refrigerated haulage company, 3 Distribution Ltd, has further enhanced its fleet offering with the assistance of funding from Clydesdale Bank’s Asset Finance team, helping to ensure its continued growth and success.

Located in Kings Lynn, 3 Distribution Ltd has purchased six new DAF trucks, which will enable the company to continue operating for existing clients in the new Low Emission Zone for London, commencing in January 2012.

Patrick Finch, Director at 3 Distribution Ltd, said: “When starting up, we chose our professional advisors carefully in terms of Lawyers, Accountants and Bankers. For our next stage of development we’re delighted to now have Clydesdale Bank’s professional team on board with its traditional approach to banking.”

Andrew Pike, Managing Partner at Clydesdale Bank’s East Anglia Financial Solutions Centre, said: “The haulage industry has struggled in recent years due to overcapacity and increases in costs. 3 Distribution Ltd is a very well managed company and has managed to buck this trend, continuing to grow, while remaining profitable. The company’s efficiency and cost control is second to none, and I believe it is well positioned to continue with its success.”

3 Distribution Ltd is a leading road haulage business, which first started trading in July 2007 with a handful of second hand lorries. In just over four years in business it is now in line to turnover £4m this year and has a modern fleet of 22 trucks and trailers.
