Guests in the driving seat at Basingstoke business event

11/10/2011

Guests at a business seminar in Basingstoke had the chance to drive some of the latest Jaguar and Land Rover cars thanks to a local dealer.

Clydesdale Bank and local solicitors Lamb Brooks hosted the event at the bank’s Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in Basing View, while Basingstoke car dealership Harwoods ran a Land Rover and Jaguar Driving Experience, which included the chance to try the new Range Rover Evoque.

Away from the driving seat, Tom Vosa, Head of Market Economics at Clydesdale Bank gave his views on the future for the UK and world economy, while Trudy Rogers, Partner at Lamb Brooks, spoke on the importance of tax planning and the pitfalls of failing to do so.

“We are very grateful to Harwoods for bringing along their latest models and allowing guests to test drive them,” said Steve McKay, Private Partner at Clydesdale Bank’s Basingstoke FSC.

“It helped make the event a mixture of fun and serious business discussion which we hope left our guests with plenty to think about and an educated view of what the economy holds in store.”

Clydesdale Bank’s Basingstoke FSC can be found at Basing View, Basingstoke, RG21 4EQ, telephone 01256 375500.
