02/7/09

YORKSHIRE Bank has boosted staff numbers at its Financial Solutions Centre in Liverpool following the appointment of a new partner.

Mike Scott, from Flint Mountain, North Wales, has joined the business team at the bank’s offices on Moorfields, Liverpool, after working in a joint role of asset finance and business partner covering Chester, Cheshire and North Wales.

He joined Yorkshire Bank as a junior straight from school in 1987 and over the last 22 years has worked in different roles and offices across the North West region, as well as spells covering the West Midlands and Gloucestershire.

In his new role Mike, who is treasurer of Hawarden Park Cricket Club and also on the finance committee of Hawarden Golf Club, will focus on trading businesses as well as specialising in haulage and manufacturing businesses with turnovers ranging from £2 million to £50 million. He will continue to cover the Chester, Cheshire and North Wales area, as well as Merseyside.

Ian Spink, managing partner at Yorkshire Bank’s Financial Solutions Centre in Liverpool, said: “Mike brings a wealth of experience after 22 years working at Yorkshire Bank, which will not only benefit the team here in Liverpool, but more importantly our clients.

“Yorkshire Bank is committed to investing in its staff and fostering new and existing talent to help drive the business forward and also support our strong relationships with our existing and new customers.”
