New Networking Group For Leading Women Professionals

REFER has been established for women of influence who work in the financial services sector at a senior level and is designed to enhance their network of contacts and to generate business.

Its first meeting was at Cobbetts’ Birmingham office, and featured a speech on styling for success, from a male point of view from Peter Rees-Steer, Birmingham Future’s award-winning Inspiring Leader 2008.

Breina Ladieswear and Saremme Nail and Beauty – both from Birmingham - gave demonstrations at the event.

Elaine Reeves, Partner of Yorkshire Bank, who has launched REFER with Sara Pinder, Director from Cobbetts LLP, said: “We were delighted not only with the turnout for the event, but also with the enthusiasm for the idea of REFER. We had around 50 attendees and we are hoping for more at our next meeting.”
