A SERIES of free workshops to help boost lean manufacturing in the Humber region are being hosted by Yorkshire Bank’s Hull Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) this summer.

Three one-and-a-half hour workshops are being held in conjunction with Government’s Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), Yorkshire Forward, George Street, Hull and specialist MAS delivery consultants PDA Consultancy, Holmfirth.

Lean manufacturing challenges how businesses carry out their work and  introduces changes which increase efficiency and productivity cost effectively.

The workshops, open to up to 12 delegates, will highlight lean manufacturing processes, how they can be implemented and the benefits for Hull businesses, their staff and customers.

Following the workshops, delegate businesses will be eligible for a one-day manufacturing review of their business by an accredited MAS specialist and a grant-subsidised manufacturing improvement project to help them to implement lean manufacturing techniques.
