Sofia boosts Yorkshire Bank’s acquisition finance team

25/03/2008

Yorkshire Bank has expanded its Specialist & Acquisition Finance team in Manchester with the appointment of Sofia Katsouris as associate.

Sofia, a qualified accountant, joins from ‘big four’ accountants PwC where she spent four years, initially auditing retail businesses and based in the London office and more recently as an executive in its treasury department in Manchester.

At Yorkshire Bank she will be working with businesses to provide advice and funding for acquisitions and help them fulfil their growth strategies. Her appointment brings the number in the acquisition finance team to nine.

Andy Taylor, the bank’s area director of Specialist & Acquisition Finance in the North West, said: “Sofia will be a valuable addition to the team, which has continued to expand steadily since its launch 18 months ago. Having funded over 25 deals during the last 12 months in the North West, the team has become a firm fixture in the region’s corporate finance marketplace.”

Sofia lives in central Manchester.
