Yorkshire Bank further strengthens local team

Yorkshire Bank has further strengthened its team of integrated finance experts with the addition of 12 specialists at its Leeds Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) bringing the total team to 100.

Acknowledged leverage finance specialist, Gary Macnair, joins the team as a senior partner, following more than 20 years with Bank of Scotland (BoS).  Macnair is well known in Yorkshire business circles, particularly for his extensive experience in structured deals where he has completed many prized transactions.

Joining him is chartered surveyor, Sylvia Bowden from Barclays Capital.  A leading property professional in Leeds, Sylvia has made her mark running her own property businesses and notably led the Barclays Capital property team on high profile projects like Bridgewater Place in Leeds.

John Bell, formerly of HSBC, has been appointed as a senior partner and brings more than 10 years experience in delivering significant deals and winning major new business.

The Leeds FSC also welcomes a further nine business partners to the team. Terry Reddington is a former Barclays Bank employee while a further three recruits Jim Myles, John Sim and Mark Greenwood all join from HSBC.

Completing the FSC's expansion is Mick Tew who joins from RBS, Fred Reschen from Allied Irish Bank, Jonathan Ellis from Ernst Young, Michael Hardman a chartered surveyor joins from National Express and Ronnie Martin from Svenska.

Patrick Walton, managing partner of the Leeds FSC, comments: "I'm delighted to welcome all 12 new recruits to the Bank.  Every one of them is at the very top of their game and will bring tremendous value to our customers."
