Who was the loan for?

Was it just for you, or were you applying for a joint loan?

What was the loan for?

Were you going to use this loan to pay off an existing debt (like a credit card, overdraft or another loan) or was it for something else?

What application reference number did you get when you applied?

Your application reference will begin with either "PL-" or "LA-". To find out which one it is, please refer to your application email.

Common questions about applying for a loan

What criteria do I need to meet before I can apply?

Each applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be aged 18 or over.
  • You have a permanent UK address
  • You have a good credit history
  • You have a UK bank account
  • You have a debit and/or credit card*

All loans are subject to status. The interest rate offered will vary depending on our assessment of your financial circumstances and your chosen loan amount. The rate offered may differ from the Representative APR shown.

How quickly will I get my money?

If you are approved your loan could be credited to your account within 2 hours.

Please note: If you are approved after 6:55pm, Monday to Friday, your loan will be credited to your account by midday next day. No downtime at weekends.

Can I top up my existing Personal Loan?

You can apply online and choose to include your existing Personal Loan provided you are borrowing at least £1,000 in new funds. As part of the online application you will be asked to provide the sort code and account number for your current Loan, these can be found on Internet Banking if you are registered or by calling our support team on 0800 707 6471.

Your loan will be drawndown when we receive all required documentation and, where customers have chosen to print their own documentation, the activation code has been entered successfully. As part of this process your current loan will be automatically cleared and closed.

Please Note:
As your current loan will not be closed until the new loan is in place please ensure any repayments on your current loan are kept up to date.

Can I repay my loan early?

Yes, you can repay your loan in full and part at any time and we'll reduce the total charge for credit payable under the agreement. When calculating this reduction we will charge up to an additional 58 days' interest on the amount you repay.

You will need to contact our Customer Services team on 0800 028 3632 to inform us of your intention each time you wish to make an additional payment. Our team will be able to provide you with an up to date settlement figure and options on how to make this payment.

When will I get a decision on my application?

In most cases we can decide instantly. If we are unable to make an instant decision or your application is submitted outside 8am-10pm Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm on Saturday or 9am-6pm on Sunday, we will aim to inform you within one working day.
