We have changed the way you are charged for using your debit and credit card when making some foreign transactions. This is to comply with new payments regulation which took effect on 15th December.
When you use your debit card to withdraw cash or pay for an item in Sterling, Euro, Swedish Kronor or Romanian Lei, in any of the European Economic Area (EEA)* countries, you will no longer be charged a Foreign Purchase or Foreign Cash Fee.
When you use your credit card to pay for an item in Euro, Swedish Kronor or Romanian Lei in any of the EEA* countries you will no longer be charged a Non-Sterling Transaction Fee.
When you use your credit card to withdraw Euro, Swedish Kronor or Romanian Lei from an ATM in any of the EEA* countries, you will no longer be charged a Non-Sterling Transaction Fee however a Cash Fee will still apply.

You will still be charged a Cash Fee of 3% (minimum £3) for cash advances anywhere in the world.
Providing the transaction is made in Sterling, Euro, Swedish Kronor or Romanian Lei, you will not be charged a Foreign Purchase Fee if using your Debit Card, or a Non-Sterling Transaction Fee if using your Credit Card.
Non-Sterling Transaction Fees do not apply to the B Credit Mastercard, as such there is no impact on this card.
Any fee charged for the original transaction will not be refunded. For any foreign transaction reversals, any fee charged will be reversed.
