Yorkshire Bank appoints new FSC chief for York and North Yorkshire

16/01/08

Martin Ibbetson, 50, has been appointed managing partner for Yorkshire Bank’s York Financial Solutions Centre (FSC).

Yorkshire Bank’s York FSC, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, covers the whole of York and North Yorkshire and has 35 staff including the biggest specialist agri-banking team in the bank’s UK network.

Martin Ibbetson, who lives in Knaresborough, joined Yorkshire Bank in 1979 and was previously business manager in West Yorkshire and then regional business manager and managing partner of the South Yorkshire FSC at Sheffield.

Yorkshire Bank launched its FSC network to spearhead a new integrated, one-stop-shop approach to business and personal banking which played a key role in it being voted the UK’s ‘Best Business Bank’ by the Forum of Private Business in 2006.

Martin Ibbetson says: “I am looking forward to continued growth at York FSC both in terms of staff numbers and business. York and North Yorkshire has a vibrant business community and this, together with significant inward investment, gives me real confidence for its future".
