Yorkshire Bank masterminds charity quiz

20/02/07

East Lancashire's professional community will pit their wits against each other in a charity quiz night in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Yorkshire Bank's Financial Solutions Centre in Blackburn has organised the event at the recently refurbished Mytton Fold Hotel and Golf Complex in Langho, near Blackburn.

More than 80 professionals from some the county's leading firms of accountants, solicitors and surveyors will battle it out to win the brainiacs' crown and raise cash for the British Heart Foundation.

Paul Ratcliffe, business partner, has masterminded the event with the help of colleague, Stewart Cook, credit partner.

Paul said: "Basically the event will aim to raise as much money as possible for charity, while at the same time giving local professionals the opportunity to meet and network socially at what we hope will be an enjoyable evening.

"Every pound raised on the night will be matched by Yorkshire Bank and hopefully this will be the start of an annual event where East Lancashire's professionals will put their grey matter to the test while also supporting some very worthy causes."

The charity quiz night will take place on Tuesday, March 6, starting at 6pm.
